Everyone Counsels

We are all counselors.  Parents counsel their children.  Friends counsel friends.  Husbands and wives counsel each other.  Even coworkers counsel each other.  The only questions are whether we give biblical counsel and whether we are equipped to counsel.  These resources will help you learn the basics of how to listen, how to ask questions, and how to get to the heart issues–with truth and love and grace “and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.“  (Galatians 6:1-2, ESV)

The law of Christ:
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35 ESV)
